We looked for four years to find a suitable smooth coat male to
mate with Darby. Since Darby was a feminine black and white smooth coat,
with a rough coat sire, we wanted a larger, stockier sire, with brown
coloring.
There he was, at a horse show in Jacksonville, Austin's Bouncing
Bela.
He began fetching and returning a ball at 12 weeks and was in love
with his two legged Dad, Ron. Bela soon learned to jump over 5 feet
from the ground into Ron's arms. Son Drake began training him in
agility at 6 months and he excelled wildly...if we did not have 24
horses
and a carriage business, we would compete with him.
Bela is grand with children, sleeps next to Darby like a married
couple and you can often find them grooming each other. He is fantastic with
his pups and loves to ride in anything with four wheels. Their pups are
gorgeous.
